Our Story

Pepper has successfully established a wholly-owned subsidiary in China, receiving in principle approval from relevant authorities in March 2020 and opening an office in Shanghai in June 2020. The businesses first master servicing mandate has been from a leading investment bank for its investment into an NPL portfolio in Fujian China. In addition, the company has confirmed strategic cooperation with a leading locally licensed AMC for servicing and big data research opportunities.

Our Strategy

We aim to be the leading independent Asset Servicer of scale for foreign investors in the mainland and Hong Kong. Our approach is to bridge the gap of working culture, reporting standards and communication between global investors and local servicers to create real value. We understand investors’ requirements in non-performing loans from years of working with them across multiple jurisdictions and we connect their needs with our NPL servicing expertise in China through local JV partners and our own local team.

Our Successes

Our achievements have come a long way in a short space of time.

We provide Master Servicing of several NPL portfolios for a leading foreign investment bank.

We have launched a proprietary loan and asset management platform to support the entire non-performing loan portfolio management lifecycle, including acquisition, due diligence, business plan and disposal, as well as third party servicing and dashboard reporting.
